Improvements will be measured through obtaining accurate figures about road kill and injury; the preference being on censuses to obtain genuine road kill statistics, rather than relying on estimates. The charity accepts that estimates of the number of animals injured on British roads will still take place.
By having this information at hand, and through subsequent censuses and surveys the success of solutions will be measured through falling road kill and injury of animals (incidents / events).
